Firnstahl, Catherine (7 Feb. 1868 - 4 Jan. 1955)
Burial services for Mrs. Michael Firnstahl, a former resident of Colby, Wisconsin, who died on January 4th at her home in Niles, Mich., at the age of 86, were held at 9:30 Friday at the Lulloff Funeral Home. Internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Andrew Arndt, William Meyers, John Gries, A. M. Steinwand, C. J. Krause and Angus Lamont. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Niles, Mich.
Mrs. Firnstahl, formerly Catherine Leichtnam, was born on February 7, 1868, in Abbotsford, Wis. She is survived by her husband, age 89, of Niles, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. Frederic (Sylvia) Nieckrens of Chicago, Mrs. John (Minnie) Wilkinson of Evanston, Ill., Mrs. Ray (Matilda) Chapman of Niles and Mrs. Russell (Malena) Cline of Mishawaka, Ind., a son, Urban Firnstahl of Niles; two brothers, Albert and Edward Leichtnam of Abbotsford; 12 grand children and 16 great grand children. A son, Raymond, was a World War I casualty and another son, Edmund, died in February, 1954.
Out of town relatives who attended the services at Colby were Mr. and Mrs. Frederic Nieckrens of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Urban Firnstahl of Niles, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Procknow of Athens and Mrs. Inga Firnstahl, Mrs. Sidney Lee and Karen, Michael and James Lee, all of Marshfield.
