Wiese, Magdalin (4 June 1884 - 27 Mar. 1955)
Mrs. Frank Wiese died Sunday afternoon at 2:45 o’clock at the Lakeview Hospital in Milwaukee at the age of 70 years. Death was due to complications of lingering illness. Funeral services are being held this Thursday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic church in Abbotsford, Rev. Raymond Schulz officiating, and burial will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.
Mrs. Wiese, formerly Magdalin Elfert, was born on June 4, 1884, in South Dakota where she received her education. Her marriage to Frank Wiese took place on September 1, 1908, in Dorchester, Wis. The couple lived in this area the past 47 years. Mrs. Wiese went to Milwaukee several months ago. She was an honorary member of St. Bernard’s Altar Society.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Val (Amelia) Lukas and Mrs. Frank (Helen) Kust of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ervin (Esther) Wunsch of Butler, Mrs. Nick (Ethel) Echommer of Abbotsford and Mrs. Norman (Margaret) Fredrickson of Gilman; three sons, Clarence J. Wiese of Pewaukee, Kenneth Wiese of West Allis and Francis Wiese of Abbotsford; a stepmother, Mrs. Joseph Elfert of Abbotsford; a brother, Frank Elfert of Faribault, Minn.; five sisters, Mrs. Frank Weber of Dorchester, Mrs. Augusta Krammer of Faribault, Minn., Mrs. Romaine Morehouse and Mrs. Leo Miller of Mora, Minn., and Rose of California; 15 grand children and two great grand children.
