Peterson, Adolph (10 Mar. 1877 - 29 June 1955)
Adolph Peterson died at his home in Abbotsford, Wisconsin last week Wednesday at the age of 78 years, dropsy being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held at the Zink Funeral Home in Abbotsford Saturday afternoon, Rev. H. Bruce Hanks of Chippewa Falls officiating, and burial was made in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery at Curtiss.
Mr. Peterson was born on March 10, 1877, at Curtiss. For nearly 30 years he was employed as a carpenter, seven years as a cheesemaker and six years at the Henry Egg Company. He retired three years ago. His marriage to Carrie Hickok took place on May 14, 1902, at Stanley. The couple moved to Abbotsford 47 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, six sons, George (Russell) Peterson of Mayville, Ky., Leonard Peterson of Tomah, Kenneth Peterson, at home, George C. Peterson of Marshfield, Gerald Peterson of Chicago and Harold Peterson, address unknown; four daughters, Mrs. Viola Davisson of San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Daggitt and Mrs. Evelyn Engel of Chippewa Falls and Mrs. Ruth of Jim Falls; a brother, Ed, of Bellevue, Wash., 15 grand children and a great grand child. A brother and several sisters preceded him in death.
