Shelley, Dwight (29 Nov. 1918 - 25 July 1955)
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Methodist church in Unity, Wisconsin for Dwight Shelley of Riplinger, age 36, who died at his home Monday evening, July 25. Burial was made in the Unity cemetery. Rev. Harvey Schall officiated. Pall bearers were Ronald, Erland and Delbert Shelley, Donald Neuman, Roger Schuh and Gerald McCarthy. Flowers were in charge of Judith Schuh, Cydell Shelley, Audrey Musolf, Beth Griepentrog and Gail and Karen Neuman.
Mr. Shelley was born on November 29, 1918, in Owen and married Violet Schropp on May 28, 1949, in Chicago. Mr. Shelley was a World War II veteran and was discharged from service due to a heart condition. He was found dead of a heart attack by his mother.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Martin, at home; four sisters, Mrs. John Neuman of Spencer, Mrs. Emmet McCarthy of Milwaukee, Mrs. Riene Griepentrog of Marshfield and Mrs. Anthony Schuh of Colby, Route 2; three brothers, William Shelley of Huntington Park, Calif., Herbert Shelley of Milwaukee and Leon Shelley of Riplinger.
