OLD GRIST MILL BURNS
The old grist mill on the Thomas lot just east of the Olson Cheese Factory burned to the ground last Thursday night about midnight.
The fire also destroyed a car belonging to John Thomas, and had it not been for prompt action a large pile of lumber and several cords of wood piled nearby would also have burned.
Mr. Thomas had quite a lot of tools, machinery, etc., stored in the building, very little of which was saved.
