Picha, Frank (23 March 1866 - 17 July 1931)

A fight for life when he was prostrated during the heat wave a few weeks ago ended with the excessive temperature of Friday, July 17th, when Frank Picha, 65, an invalid, died at 6:45 in the evening at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Helf, at Oshkosh.

He was weakened by illness of two and one-half years duration following a heart attack. During this entire time he lived with his sister at Oshkosh.

Mr. Picha was born March 23rd, 1866 at New York. He lived with his parents on a farm near Dorchester and the rest of his life was spent at Ashland, Park Falls and Oshkosh.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Helf of Oshkosh and Mrs. Ed Feala of Abbotsford, Wis.

His remains were brought here Monday to the Edward Feala home, a brief service was conducted at 9:00 a. m. by Father McGuire and interment made at the Abbotsford cemetery.

The acting pallbearers were Daniel Albers, Edwin Scheibe, H. J. Cornelius, J. F. Kadonsky, Nick Skerwin and Andrew Leiders.

Those from out of town who attended the services were Frank Feala of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Helf and Jack Kitts and son John of Oshkosh.
