A very pretty wedding took place at the St. Mary’s of Czestochowa Church (Junction, Clark Co., Wis.), Wednesday morning, May twentieth at nine-thirty a.m., when Miss Jeanette Straskowski of Thorp, became the bride of Paul Rygiel, son of Mrs. Maryana Rygiel of Boyd. Rev. Roman Papierniak performed the ceremony.
The bride was attired in a long white satin dress trimmed with panels of rayon lace and wore a short finger tipped tiara of lilies of the valley. She wore a necklace which was worn by her mother on her wedding day. Since the occasion happened to be her birthday also, she carried a bride’s prayer book and rosary given her as a birthday present. Bride’s bouquet consisted of white lilacs and white carnations.
The bride’s sister, Lillian, was maid of honor. She wore a long dress of rayon, aqua marquisette and a matching tiara. She carried a bouquet of white lilacs, red tulips and pink carnations.
Agnes Prosiecky, the bridesmaid, was attired in a long rose pink marquisette dress with a matching tiara. She carried a bouquet of red tulips, white lilacs and pink carnations.
Joseph Rygiel, brother of the groom, acted as best man.
The church was beautifully decorated with flowers.
The reception was held at the bride’s home. A dance was held at the bride’s home for the elders. Mike Kryzanski furnished the music, while a free wedding dance was given at Junction Hall with music by "Corky and His Meoldiers."
