Mullenbach, Ami (19 MAY 1942)
Mrs. Anna Mullenbach of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) announces the marriage of her daughter, Ami, to Lt. Joseph J. Bartl, son of Mrs. Grace Bartl, 711 Cass St., La Crosse, Wis.
The wedding took place at Ft. Benning, Ga., on May 19th, 1942. The Rev. Patrick J. Kelly performing the ceremony.
The bride was attired in a navy blue linen suit and wore a corsage of snow white roses. Her bridesmaid was Miss June Newkirch of Indianapolis, Ind., and Harold Drake of St. Paul, Minn., acted as best man.
After a brief stay in Atlanta, Ga., the couple traveled along the eastern seaboard, stopping in Washington, D.C. for some time. Lt. Bartl has been stationed at Ft. George G. Mead, Maryland.
Mrs. Bartl is a Thorp girl and has been employed with the income tax department at Eau Claire after her graduation from Thorp High School and business college.
The groom practiced law in Thorp for a year as partner of Attorney C.C. Guell, until his enlistment in the army.
The many friends of the couple from Thorp join in extending best wishes.
