Milan, John (15 FEB 1877 - 5 JUN 1942)
John Milan, a farmer in the Town of Thorp, passed away at the General Hospital at Madison of heart disease on June 5th, 1942, having reached the age of 65 years, 3 months and 10 days.
Mr. Milan was born in Poland on Feb. 15, 1877. He was married to Katie Slonka in Poland in Jan. 1902. He came to America in 1916 and located on a farm near Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), which has since that time been his home.
Besides his widow he is survived by five sons, Samuel, George, Mike, John and Walter of Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Mary Milan at home, Mrs. Helen Skaleski and Mrs. Nettie Wisowaty of Chicago.
Funeral services were held at St. Trinity Church in the Town of Withee on Tuesday morning at ten o’clock, Rev. Andrew Kist of Minneapolis officiating, and interment following in the parish cemetery.
