Stszeszynski, Catherine (1 NOV 1857 - 25 MAY 1942)

Mrs. Catherine Stszeszynski passed away of pneumonia at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Ziolkowski at St. Paul on Monday, May 25th, 1942. She had reached the age of 84 years, 6 months and 25 days.

The deceased was born in Poland on Nov. 1, 1857. She was married there to Casper Stszeszynski in October 1881, and came to America with her husband and family to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) where they farmed in the Townof Reseburg until their retirement in 1918. Since that time she has been a resident of St. Paul, and after the death of her husband in January 1937, spent all of her time with her children.

Surviving relatives are five sons, Frank of LeCenter, Minn., Peter of Thorp, Joseph, Anthony and Michael of St. Paul; five daughters, Mrs. (Helen) Joseph Lesniewski, Mrs. (Mary) Peter Borowick, Mrs. (Agnes) John Ziolkowski, Mrs. (Victoria) Leo Sieler, all of St. Paul, and Mrs. (Hattie) Cordes of Edgar, Wis.; also one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Maslowski of Thorp, 29 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Ziolkowski at St. Paul at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, May 28th, and at St. Casimer’s Church at 9:00 o’clock, Rev. Andrew Stojar officiating. Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery.
