Marie Sumiec, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sumiec of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Robert Bandlow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bandlow of Euclid, Ohio, were united in marriage in a ceremony read by Rev. Lengowski at St. Hedwig’s Church of Thorp at 10 o’clock, Wednesday, July 15, 1942.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was beautifully attired in a gown of white georgette with a fingertip veil and orange blossom tiara. Her bouquet was of white roses, baby’s breath and carnations.
The groom and best man William Dorrington, were attired in navy blue suits.
The reception to the newly married couple was held at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp throughout the day and evening.
After a wedding trip to Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Bandlow will be at home to their friends in Cleveland, Ohio, where Mr. Bandlow will be employed as a timekeeper.
Out of town guests attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bandlow, Mr. and Mrs. E. Derrick, and William Dorrington of Euclid, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. F. Sumiec and daughter Marcia, Mr. and Mrs. A. Sorg and sons Andy and Johnny, Mr. and Mrs. W. Noga and daughter, Dolores and Chester Filipek, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. A. Olowski and family, and Mr. and Mrs. A. Glenn and family of Stanley.
