Grieger, Gilbert F. (20 Jan. 1917 - 2 Jan. 2002)
Gilbert F. Grieger, 84, Green Bay, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1917, to the late Adolf and Elizabeth (Klawinski) Grieger in Athens, Wisconsin. On Dec. 15, 1936, he married Mary Blake in Rockford, Illinois. She preceded him in death June 2, 1986. Prior to serving in the U. S. Army, Gilbert attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was employed and retired from Armour Packing Company. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors include his children, Trish Hall, Gilbert (Shirley) Grieger, Jr., Michael Grieger and Sue Umentum; eight grandchildren, Gary (Vicki) Grieger, Sherri (Brian) Boyce, Kevin Umentum, Christine (William) Schroeder, Michael Hall, Christopher Hall, Catherine (Mitch) Monroe and Nicholas (Sheryl) Monroe; ten great-grandchildren, Kristin Schmid, Darin Grieger, Nicole Grieger, Brianna Hall, Naomi Hall, Gigi Hall, Chris Hall, Jr., Rocky Macchirella, Mitchel Monroe, Jr., and Michael Hall, Jr.; and, one sister Gennie Fiend. Private funeral services will be held. Lyndahl Funeral Home is assisting the family.
