Balcer, Franciszka (26 OCT 1863 - 15 AUG 1942)

Mrs. Francis Balcer, 78 years, 9 months and 20 days old, town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1942 at her home. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, Aug. 19th at St. Hedwig’s Church at Thorp with Zygmunt Lengowski officiating. Burial was at St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Balcer was born in Poland on Oct. 26, 1863. She arrived in America in 1862 and lived in Shenandoah, Penn. For 6 years. She was married there to Anton Balcer. From Shenandoah she moved to the town of Withee, where she remained until her death.

She is survived by 5 children, John Balcer of the town of Withee, Mrs. John (Bella) Polnaszek of Minneapolis, Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Neiman of Thorp, Mrs. Thomas (Stella) Malinowski of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Joseph (Anna) Gurbacki of Chicago and Mrs. John (Edna) Paczklewski of Detroit; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also one sister in Europe.

Pallbearers were Joseph Kobylarczyk, Ig. Przybylski, Joseph Moczarny, John Zdrojkowski, Frank Neiman and George Zukowski.
