Miss Amelia Okonski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Okonski, Town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), and Leo Stewart, Town of Longwood (Clark Co.), exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the parsonage of the Congregational Church of Owen. The rev. W. Hotchkiss read the services.
The bride wore a casual wool suit of light blue with white accessories and a white orchid.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. William Fahrenbach Jr., brother-in-law and sister of the groom. Mrs. Fahrenbach wore a blue silk suit with pink accessories and corsage of sweetheart roses. She also wore the gold locket which was given her by the bride.
A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, where dinner was served. For the occasion, the home was decorated with blue, white and pink streamers, from which hung 3 wedding bells. In the evening the bride and groom greeted their friends at a wedding dance at Merry Ol’ Gardens.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart left for a week’s stay at a resort, after which they will be at home on a farm near Withee.
Out of town guests who attended the wedding were, Misses Viola, Mary Ann and Celia Okonski of Chicago.
