Olichwier, John (2 JUN 1859 - 2 OCT 1942)

John Olichwier, 83, passed away at the Stanley Hospital of old age infirmities on Friday, Oct. 22, 1942.

The deceased was born in Poland on June 2, 1859. He came to America in 1891 and settled on a farm near Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and also spent several years in the saloon business in the village. He was united in marriage to Josephine Mroz in May 1892. Besides his aged widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mary, Mrs. Joseph Moczarny, and one son, Joseph of Thorp, and also nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m, rev. S. Lengowski officiating.

Pallbearers were: Ignatz Przybylski, John Wojcik, Anton Stroinski, Joe Kobylarczyk, Thos. Szatalowicz, and Martin Przesmicki.

Interment was made in the parish cemetery.
