Daniel, Ernest (6 APR 1856 - 14 OCT 1942)
Ernest Daniel, respected farmer and resident of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past thirty-nine years, passed away at his home there on Wednesday, Oct. 14th, 1942 of old age infirmities.
Mr. Daniel was born in Brislow, Germany on April 6, 1856. He was married there in 1880 to Christine Tuarg. Eight years later they came to America and resided in Milwaukee until the year 1903. They moved to Thorp that year and located on a farm in the Town of Reseburg, which has since been the home of Mr. Daniel. His wife and three children preceded him in death.
Surviving are four sons, Reinhold, Fred, Robert and Charles; two granddaughters, Aline (Mrs. Kenneth Bobb) and Ramona; one great-granddaughter, Carolyn Bobb, all of Thorp; two brothers in Germany, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Jones, of Wichita, Kansas.
Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home at 1:30 on Friday afternoon, Oct. 16th and at 2:00 o’clock at the Lutheran Church at Reseburg, of which congregation the deceased had been a member for thirty-nine years. Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated and interment took place in the Sylvan Cemetery.
