Peterson, Eileen S. (13 MAY 1941)

Saturday, May 13, 1941, at 4:00 p.m. Miss Eileen Sue Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.G. Peterson of 3238 N. Newhall St., Milwaukee, was united in marriage to Neil Vater, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vater of Withee, at the Northminster Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E.S. Martin. Mrs. Brink played an organ recital and Mrs. Leola Stack sang two solos.

The bride, who was beautifully gowned in white chiffon and wore a fingertip veil, carried a colonial bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath and valley lilies, was given in marriage by her father.

Her bridesmaid, Miss Gloria Hrycyna, wore a gown of petal pink chiffon and carried pink roses.

The groom was attended by his brother, Carl Vater of Chicago and ushers were the bride’s brother, Jerome Peterson, and Leo Jacobi of Milwaukee, and James Roy of Oconto.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and the young couple left on a motor trip through northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Out of town guests were the groom’s mother, Mrs. Robert Vater of Withee; Mrs. Raymond Jones and son, John, of Randolph; Mrs. Norval Woodburn and son, Robert, of Elmhurst, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Vater of Chicago; Miss Ruth Vater of Madison; Mrs. Clinton Alberts and son, Jimmie, and Mrs. Fred L. Johnson and daughter, Eileen, of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Munson of Menomonie; Mrs. David Cole of Grafton; and Miss Dolores Hamilton of Kaukauna.
