Thompson, Thea (26 Apr. 1885 - 4 Jan. 1949)

Miss Thea Thompson, age 63, passed away on Tuesday evening, Jan. 4th, at 10:15 o’clock at the home of her sister and brother in law with whom she made her home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Jan. 7th, at 2:00 o’clock P.M. at the Ev. Lutheran church, Rev. G. E. Borreson officiating and burial will be made in the family lot in the parish cemetery.

The deceased was born in Curtiss on April 26, 1885. She was a lifelong teacher in the state public schools, for 22 years in the Beloit city schools. The past year she spent at home due to ill health. She was a graduate of the Colby High School and Central State Teachers College, Stevens Point.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Frank Matthias and Mrs. Edwin Peterson of Curtiss, Mrs. J. E. Simpson of Sturgeon Bay, Mrs. Ida Peterson of Monroe, Wash., three brothers, Theo and Arthur Thompson of Curtiss and Oscar Thompson of Los Angeles, Calif. A brother, Lt. Carl Thompson, lost his life in World War I.
