Matson, Victor (1869? - 9 Jan. 1949)
Victor Matson, 80, a former Unity resident, died Sunday night at 10 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ferdinand Ewald at Detroit, Michigan.
The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, and funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday followed by another service at 2 P.M. The Rev. J. A. Olson will officiate and burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
Mr. Matson was born in Finland. Most of his life was spent on a farm in Colby but for the past five years he had made his home with his daughter in Detroit.
His wife and two children preceded him in death.
Six children survive, Mrs. Ferdinand (Emma) Ewald, Mrs. Clara Victorson, and Edward Matson, all of Detroit; Mrs. Emil (Altha) Johnson of Spencer; and Mrs. William (Florence) Kelty and Albert of Unity.
