Paetzold, Carl Herbert (16 June 1882 - 26 Feb. 1949)
Carl Herbert Paetzold, 66, of Wausau, Marathon county, Wisconsin surveyor, died Saturday morning at 5 o’clock at his home. He had been ailing for several months.
A civil engineer, Mr. Paetzold was fist elected county surveyor in 1940 and had been re-elected to the post four times since then.
A native of Breslau, Germany, he was born there June 16, 1882, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Paetzold. He was married in Germany before coming to this country to Miss Elfriede Knauft. The couple came to America in 1907 and had been Wausau residents 40 years.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Carl H. Paetzold, Jr., of Wausau; a daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Reiche of Wausau; a brother, Ludwig Paetzold, and a sister, Mrs. Margarete Wolf, who live in Germany, and four grandchildren.
