A pretty church wedding was solemnized Saturday afternoon, at two o’clock, June 6, 1942, at the Danish Lutheran Church, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), when Miss Betty Rose Pedersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pedersen of Lingle, Wyo., became the bride of Harold Matson of the Town of Holway. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. J.L.J. Dixen.
The bride was attired in a floor length gown of white brocaded silk poplin, which had a sweetheart neckline, and long fitted sleeves that came to a point over the hand. Her long veil was held in place with a headband of lilies of the valley. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.
Her only attendant, Miss Anna Matson, sister of the groom wore a floor length gown of pink net over pink taffeta and pinned pink rose buds in her hair. She wore a corsage of dwarf sweet peas and carnations.
The groom wore a brown suit and the best man, John Blunk, wore a gray suit. Each wore boutonnieres of white carnations.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Matson. Covers were laid for 50 guests.
The out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fox and family of Milwaukee; harry d’Angelo, Milwaukee; Mrs. J.P.M. Pedersen, grandmother of the bride from Racine.
The couple will reside at the home of the groom’s parents.
