Michkowski, Elizabeth (25 JUN 1942)
At an early morning service Carlyle McCabe claimed as his bride last Thursday, June 25, 1942, Miss Elizabeth Michkowski, daughter of Mrs. A. Michkowski of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.).
The service was read by Father Trost in Holy Rosary Church, Milwaukee, Wis., and was followed by a breakfast at the Ambassador Hotel and a reception at the young couple’s home.
The bride wore an ivory white street length dress with pale gold embroidery. Her accessories also were pale gold, as was the sheer shoulder length veil which fell from her close fitting grosgrain hat. She wore a corsage of tea roses and carried a pearl covered prayer book from which fell shower ribbons ornamented with tiny tea roses. Around her neck was clasped a diamond locket, a gift of the groom.
The bride’s sister, her only attendant, wore a pale blue dress of similar design, with white accessories, and also carried a white prayer book.
The groom and his best man, Geo. Gorbett, wore dark blue suits.
