Bower, Infant of Albert (MAY 1942 - JUL 1942)
The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bower, residing two miles north of Owen, met a tragic death when the child rolled to the side of the bed, its little head fell of the edge and hung down. The child was unable to raise it and its fragile neck was fractured. The accident happened while the mother was in the barn with her husband helping in doing the chores and the child’s fate was not discovered until some time later, when she returned to the house. The child was one month and five days of age at the time.
Mr. and Mrs. Bower lost a son three years ago almost under the same circumstances. The child suffocated while the parents were doing chores.
Funeral services were conducted July 5 from the Griebenow Funeral Parlors with Rev. Hotchkiss officiating. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.
