Thomas, Lila Will (31 AUG 1855 - 11 JUL 1942)

Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 13, 1942 from the Griebenow Funeral Parlors for Mrs. Lila Will Thomas, 87 years of age, who had passed away Saturday, July 11, 1942 at the Legault Hospital. The service was read by Rev. R.E. Ortmayer and interment was made in a cemetery at Ladysmith, Wis.

Lila Will Thomas, nee Lila Rowe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Rowe, was born on Aug. 31, 1855 at Tunnel City, Wis.

She was united in marriage to Warner Will, deceased, to which union three children were born, Mrs. Alex Moore of Owen, and two sons, both of whom preceded her in death. Later she was married to John Thomas. For a great number of years she was a resident of Ontario, Vernon Co., however, because of failing health she had made her home for the past ten years with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Moore. While residing in Ontario she was a devoted member of the United Brethren Church and an active worker in all it activities.

Her loss is mourned by her family, and a sister, Ida Tole of Bellingham, Wash., and a half brother, Ray Straight of Palo Alto, Calif., besides a host of friends in this community.
