Gerth, William (13 Jan. 1864 - 11 Nov. 1931)

Funeral services for William Gerth who died Tuesday morning at 1:10 o’clock after an illness of eight days, will be held at the home at 1:30 and at the Lutheran Church at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, the Rev. J. Brandt of Dorchester officiating.

William Gerth was born January 13, 1864, at Bromberg, Prussia and came to America with his parents at the age of three years. His early life was spent in Chicago. He was married to Miss Matilda Doescher, Dec. 10, 1901, at Chicago. Twenty years ago they came to Abbotsford, Wis.

The deceased is survived by his wife and one son, George, at home, and one sister, Agnes Borhoeft, of Chicago, and one brother, Chas. Gerth of Chicago.

William Gerth, aged 68 years, who came to Marathon County from Chicago twenty years ago, passed away at his home two miles east of Abbotsford Wednesday morning, November 11th, and funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 14th, at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 at the Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, with the Rev. J. Brandt, officiating.
