Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) for Joachim Christian Karsten, who died at his home in the village of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), Wednesday of last week.

Mr. Karsten was born in Rodun, Germany, July 13, 1867, and he came to America with his parents in 1886. At the age of 19 he moved to the town of Green Grove (Clark Co.), where he became engaged in farming and continued that occupation until 1920. He then moved to the village of Curtiss, where he resided until the time of his death. He was 75 years, 7 months and 4 days old.

He leaves to mourn, three nieces and four nephews. He was unmarried and a brother and sister preceded him in death.
