Maki, Louisa (28 MAR 1891 - 14 MAR 1943)
Funeral services will be conducted Friday from the Finnish Lutheran Church, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), for Mrs. John Victor Maki, 52, whose death occurred Sunday, with the Rev. George Autio officiating.
She was born March 28, 1891 at Kurikka, Finland, and came to America in 1899, and was married to John Victor Maki, Feb. 12, 1909 at Wakefield, Mich. She and her husband moved to Owen in October 1926, and since that time have made this their home.
She was the mother of ten children, three sons, Toivo, a member of the Navy, stationed at San Diego, Calif.; Arnold, who is in the army in Australia, and Victor, who is at home. Seven daughters, Mrs. Vieno Peters and Mrs. Lillian K. Cascarano, both of Lake Forest, Ill., Mrs. Sylvia M. Hutter, North Carolina, Elsa, Helvia and Ruth of Lake Forest, Ill., and Louise, who is at home.
There are also seven grandchildren.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
