Rice, Maxine (26 JUL 1941)
Miss Maxine Rice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rice of Greenwood, became the bride of Thomas J. Harper last Saturday, July 26. The ring was placed on the bride’s finger at 6 o’clock p.m., the ceremony taking place at Wautoma, Wis.
Maxine and her folks have lived in the vicinity for a number of years, she attending school at both the Greenwood and Loyal schools, and graduating with the ‘41 class of Loyal High.
Tom, a newspaper man from Denver, Colorado, has been employed as a printer in the office of the Loyal Tribune since early this spring.
The couple took a short trip through the southern part of the state, viewing the lakes and admiring the scenery. They arrived in Loyal about noon on Sunday, spending the day visiting with the bride’s folks and receiving well wishes of their many friends.
At the present time Mrs. Harper is visiting a sister, Mrs. Robert Sparks of Plainfield, and expects to return in August after helping with the summer work
