Counsell, Ila #2 (17 AUG 1941)
At 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, August 17, in the Methodist parsonage at Neillsville, Miss Ila Counsell became the bride of Neil W. Johnston, son of Mrs. L. E. Johnston of Loyal. The Rev. Obed Asp read the ceremony.
The bride was attired in a street length dress of light blue linen. Her shoulder corsage consisted of Lilies and asters.
Mrs. Laurin Mallory, Madison, the bride’s only attendant, wore a pink street length. She wore a shoulder corsage of asters.
Laurin A. Mallory of Neillsville was best man.
Mr. Johnston is a graduate of the Loyal High School. His bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and of the Eau Claire State Teacher’s College. She taught in the primary grades at Granton for four years and the past year taught at Hammond. The bridal couple will reside at Loyal where the groom is employed by the Braun Auto Company.
The Tribune joins the many friends of both young people in extending Best Wishes for a long and happy married life.
