GRANTON -- Cindy L. Suda, 46, of Granton died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at her home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

A Celebration of Cindy's Life will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. The Rev. John Trewyn will officiate. Providing music will be Caroline Helm, organist. Serving as honorary bearers will be the Granton Fire Department.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and again from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.

Cynthia Lou (Carstensen) Suda was born Sept. 15, 1961, in Neillsville, the daughter of Gwen (Galbreath) and George Carstensen. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1979. She was united in marriage to Tony Suda on Oct. 20, 1979.

They farmed with her family near Granton. Cindy enjoyed milking cows and working on the farm for more than 22 years. She also assisted the director of emergency management at the Clark County Court House.

Cindy was a current member of the Granton Fire and Rescue, having served for more than 10 years, as well as being a past member, of Granton First Responders. She took great pride in working with the department and served as president of the Granton First Responders and also as president of the Clark County Fire Investigation Task Force. Cindy loved spending time with her family and friends and will always be remembered for her love of roller coasters.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Tony of Granton; a son, Craig (Charlotte) Suda of Marshfield; two grandchildren, Allen and Graci Suda of Marshfield; her parents, Gwen and George Carstensen of Granton.

She is also survived by three sisters, Judy (Mike) Opelt of Milltown, Charlotte Jansen of Granton, and Georgia Kostohryz of Black River Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; a brother-in-law, Ralph Jansen; and a nephew, Allen Jansen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cindy Suda Memorial Fund. The funds will be directed toward Allen and Graci's further education. Memorials are being accepted at the Citizens State Bank of Loyal, 110 Maple St., Granton WI 54436 and the M&I Bank, 101 W. Fourth St., Marshfield WI 54449.

The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville is assisting Cindy's family with arrangements.
