Harley Miller
NEILLSVILLE -- Harley Miller, 77, of Neillsville died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at his home.
A memorial service for Harley will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Military honors will be accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Harley Miller was born Jan. 16, 1931, at home in Neillsville, the son of Otto and Josephine (Lezotte) Miller. He was united in marriage to Helen Anderson on Oct. 21, 1950, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. A year later, he entered the U.S. Navy and served four years in the Philippines during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home, he farmed and also worked for Surge and the Farmer's Union Coop in Neillsville.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Rick Buchsteiner, Hudson; six daughters, Kathleen Marie (Waymond) Lee, Jacksonville, Fla., Karen Joe Bleecker, Huntsville, Ala., Koreen Sue Williams and Kay Ann (Chris) Gruber, both of Neillsville, Karla Jean (John) Koplien, Sherry, and Kimberly Jan Nordahl, Alma Center; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Florence (Orville) Evanson of Wausau.
