Martha Gumz, 94, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester, Wis. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the Maurina/Schilling

Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at the church.

Martha Gumz

Martha Gumz, 94, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester, Wis.

Burial will be in North Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and one hour before services at the church Wednesday.

Martha was born Jan. 9, 1914, in Stetsonville, a daughter of Rudolph and Anna (Lueddecke) Blasel. She married Herman Gumz on June 17, 1931.

She is survived by a son, Herbert (Mary) Gumz of Dorchester; two daughters, Janet (Donald) Fink of Colby and Doris (James) Apfelbeck of Park Falls and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
