Borgemoen, Mr. and Mrs. John (OCT 1916)
A quarter of a century of married life was observed with pride and cheer, recalling memories of the past, as a group of relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Borgemoen in the town of Holten, Taylor county.
A buffet dinner was served to the many guests. A large four tier cake decorated with silver was a gift from the couple’s children brought from Chicago. They were also presented with a beautiful set of spode dishes, a gift from their children. Many other gifts were presented by the guests.
The following guests were present: Mrs. Fay Lott and Arlie Terrio of Abbotsford; Henry Huber, Mr. and Mrs. William Longhead and son, Threase Schriber of Colby; Morris Sorhus, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Strand and sons, Alvin and David, of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Milo Lott and daughters, Bernita and Marvil Borgemoen, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Schiszik, Robert Spencer and Guy Dunow of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Markus Hermanson, Gust Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ostenson, Mrs. Helga Kluve and son, Archie, Miss Edith Ostenson, Roy Ostenson, Mr. and Mrs. William Steinke and sons, Eugene and Oaklay, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Schiszik and sons, Lionel and Earl, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Klemetson and daughter of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Spencer of Abbotsford; Mrs. Carla Sturner of Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Steinke and son, Dale, of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. William Yost, Helen and Harold Yost of Colby; Vance Yost of Mississippi; and Adeline Buss of Milan.
The guests departed at a late hour after wishing the couple congratulations most sincere.
