Dollase, Ardeen (Marriage - 15 OCT 1941)

A lovely quiet wedding service attended by the immediate members of the bride and groom’s family was read at the St. Katherine’s church, Owen, at two o’clock Wednesday, Oct. 15, uniting Miss Ardeen Dollase and Harold McCray in marriage.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dollase of Neillsville. She had attended school, grade and high, at Neillsville and for the past two years has been employed at Owen.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira McCray and is a graduate of the Owen high school. He is now employed by the Western Condensing company.

The bride was attractively dressed in a brown street outfit and wore matching hat and a shoulder corsage. She was attended by Mrs. Charles Knaack Jr., who wore a green street dress with matching accessories. The groom and his best man, Charles Knaack, each wore green business suits.

Following the service a delicious dinner was served at five p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents. The table and home were beautifully decorated with fall flowers and leaves and shumack. Over 40 guests were served.

The newlyweds left on an auto honeymoon trip for several days and will then return to Owen where they will make their home.

Their many friends join with The Enterprise in extending the young couple sincere congratulations and best wishes for a happy wedded life.
