Becken, Darlene D. (Marriage - 7 Oct. 1950)
Darlene D. Becken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Halver Becken of Colby, and Gordon J. Schjoneman of Unity, were united in marriage at Zion Lutheran church in Colby Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7th, at 3:30 P.M., Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony.
The bride was attired in a hunter’s green suit and winter white hat with other accessories in brown. Her bouquet consisted of white tuba roses, talisman roses and yellow pompoms. Mrs. Robert Kester of Wisconsin Rapids, matron of honor, wore a wine suit with brown accessories and her bouquet consisted of yellow roses, tuba roses and carnations.
The groom was attended by Robert Kester of Wisconsin Rapids.
A supper was served at the church parlors at 5:30 P.M. for the immediate families, and, in the evening, a dance was held at Walter’s pavilion.
The couple left on a trip through western states. They will make their home at North Bend, Oregon.
