Baumgartner, Lucille (Marriage - 20 Oct. 1950)
On Friday afternoon, October 20, in a double ring ceremony performed at 4:00 P.M. by Rev. Wm. Schultz at the Memorial Ev. and Reformed church in Madison, Miss Lucille Baumgartner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baumgartner of Colby, became the bride of Ronald Nelsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Nelsen of ?.
The bride wore a navy suit with navy accessories. Her shoulder corsage consisted of pink roses and white pompoms. Her maid of honor, Miss Jeanette Sixel of Milwaukee, was attired in a navy suit with cherry accessories. Her corsage consisted of roses and pompoms. Jack Hilden of Madison, a friend of the groom, served as best man.
The bride’s mother watched the ceremony in a gray crepe dress with black accessories. Pink carnations formed her corsage. The groom’s mother chose a tan suit with brown accessories. Her corsage consisted of white carnations.
After the ceremony, a dinner was served at the Cuba Club, Madison. The couple spent a short honeymoon in Chicago.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of Colby High School. The bride is employed in the general office of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin and the groom is enrolled in the Chemical Engineering Course at the University.
The couple is residing at 423 North Pinkay Street, Madison, Wis.
Guests from Colby at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baumgartner and son, Jimmie, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Nelsen and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Baumgartner.
