Local Happenings in Colby and Vicinity Nov. 16, 1950

Ernest Feind returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Harlowe Hibbard and Darnell Schoelzel returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Miss Myrtle Reis returned to her home after spending several weeks at southern Wisconsin cities.

Rev. and Mrs. O. Hoffmann and Harold attended the pastoral study club meeting on Monday at Athens.

William Waldhart, Jr., and Mrs. Louis Lindberg of Milwaukee spent several days at the William Waldhart home.

Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Elpert and children of Frankfort, Ind., spent Saturday evening at the John E. Anderson home.

Dr. H. H. Christofferson was in Madison Sunday where he attended a meeting of the State Medical Society of which he is president.

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frane visited their children here Saturday while on their way from Whitetail, Mont., to their home in Wittenberg.

Mrs. Glen Lein and children, Marh and Mary of Marinette visited from Friday until Monday with the former’s mother, Mrs. Ed Zillmann.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonhard Dommer visited Friday through Monday with relatives in Chicago and Hebron, Ill., and also in Milwaukee and Elkhart Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. James P. Wilde, Sr., and sons, James Jr. and Eugene, and Bill Young, Jr. left Thursday morning for their hunting cabins at Glidden.

Mrs. O. J. Dix left for Milwaukee Wednesday where she will visit for two weeks with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lester E. Wagner.

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Zillmann and children of Baldwin and Mrs. D. H. Zillmann and children of Eau Claire spent the week end with Mrs. Ed Zillmann.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nelsen of Madison spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Nelsen and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baumgartner.

Mrs. Raymond Rohl, Harry Rohl, and Mr. and Mrs. John Schwak and son of Augusta were visitors at the homes of Wm. Harry and H. R. Reeves Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Zehner of Chicago visited Saturday and Sunday at the home of the latter’s grand mother, Mrs. Fred Rienow and at the J. E. Tesmer home.

Pfc. Peter J. Anderson and Pfc. Albert Curry of Chanute Air Field, Ill., spent the weekend at the home of the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Anderson.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Passehl, Jr., of the town of Frankfort Wednesday morning at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital. Mrs. Passehl is the former June Tessmer.
