Orth, George (7 Jan. 1886 - 8 Apr. 1950)
George Orth of Abbotsford, Wisconsin died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Saturday evening, April 8, at 8:15 following an operation April 3. Funeral services were held in St. Bernard’s Catholic church at Abbotsford, Wednesday morning, Rev. Raymond Schultz officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Norman Orth, Harold Baumgart, Leon Steinwand, Donald Neuman, John Marten and Sylvester Tesmer, all nephews.
Mr. Orth was born on a farm south of Colby on Jan. 7, 1886. He was married to Anna Domer at Colby on April 16, 1912. They moved onto a farm two miles east and one mile north of Abbotsford 33 years ago.
Surviving are his widow and five children: Myron Orth of Owen, Mrs. Al (Marie) Bramucker of Medford, Mrs. Ernest (Marjorie) Kugel of Milwaukee, Raymond Orth of Abbotsford and Mrs. Roy (Ermine) Singstock of Colby, Wis. Also two brothers and five sisters: Charles Orth of Seattle, Wash.; Conrad Orth of Colby; Mrs. Kath McKennen of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Chas. Elchlepp of Phillips; Mrs. Paul Tesmer of Colby; Mrs. Otto Baumgart of Unity and Mrs. Theo. Steinwand of Colby, Wis. There are 11 grand children.
