Schulz, Emma (15 Aug. 1879 - 9 July 1950)
Mrs. George Schulz died at her home in Colby, Wisconsin at 1:00 A.M. Sunday at the age of 70 years after being ill with a heart ailment and dropsy since last November. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. Roger Roebel officiating and burial was made in the Green Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were Julius Schulz, Calvin Schulz, Lee Smart, Walter Theilig, Walter Schillinger and Arthur Kahring.
Mrs. Schulz, the former Emma Kahring, was born on Aug. 15, 1879, at Houghton, Mich. When a small child, she moved to Glidden where she was married to George Schulz on Sept. 11, 1907. In the spring of 1908, they moved onto a farm four miles west of Colby where they lived until their retirement in 1947 when they moved to Colby, Wis.
Surviving are her husband; three children, Louis and Perry of Colby and Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Hohler of Milwaukee; five brothers, William Kahring of Superior, Charles Kahring of Ionia, Mich., Fred Kahring of Glidden, Louis Kahring of Park Falls and Henry Kahring of Eau Claire; two sisters, Mrs. George Dryden and Mrs. Albert Raap of Glidden; and nine grand children.
The deceased was of a congenial and industrious disposition, honest in all her dealings, who always considered the welfare of her family above social affairs.
