Dallmann, Willamina (7 Jan. 1862 - 29 Nov. 1950)

Mrs. Willamina Dallmann, a former resident of Colby, died at Fond du Lac last week Wednesday, old age complications being the cause of her departure. The body was brought to Colby and funeral services were held at the First Ev. and Reformed church Sunday afternoon, Rev. F. W. Kollath of Dorchester officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were O. W. Sturner, Fred Schmidt, Chas. Rasmussen, Gust Brehm, John Marx and Paul Draeger. Songs by the choir, with Mrs. Rena Bauer at the organ, were "Trauden From Trauden" and "Under His Wing." The text, requested by Mrs. Dallmann, was Second Timothy 4-7, "I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

Mrs. Dallmann, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrich Karrow, was born in Pomeranid, Germany, Jan. 7, 1862, thus reaching the age of 88 years, 10 months and 24 days. She came to the United States when 18 years of age and first settled in Minnesota. She married Fredrich Dallmann at Louisberg, Minn., on March 17, 1842. They came to the town of Hull in 1908 and engaged in farming until 1922 when they moved to the city of Colby, where Mr. Dallmann passed away in 1933. About 15 years ago, she moved to Fond du Lac.

Of thirteen children, surviving are Mrs. Minnie Dohrman of Mayville, Mrs. O. H. (Matha) Davis of Colby, Wm. Dallmann of Greenwood, Alvin Dallman of Louisiana, Edwin Dallmann of Lomira and Benjamin Dallmann of Greenwood.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dohrman, Mrs. Lydia Dallmann, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin G. Zieman, Mrs. Ed Schwanke and Mrs. Arnold Enderly of Mayville, Merlin Dohrman and son, Allen, of Beaver Dam, Mr. and Mrs. Edwinn Dallman and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klein of Lomira, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dallmann and son, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dallmann and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. James Metcloff and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Metclof of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Davis and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kuehling of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Perschke, Ruben Perschke, Harold Perschke, Mrs. Oscar Anderson and Mrs. Earl Wilkening of Appleton, Minn.

The deceased was a good Christian of a kind and pleasant disposition and will be remembered by many here as a person who always endeavored to perform her duties well - thinking more of her obligations to her family than social pleasures.
