Packard, Douglas Earl (30 Aug. 1879 - 7 July 1932)
Douglas Earl Packard was born in Holway, Wisconsin, August 30, 1879 and died at the Veterans Administration, Milwaukee, Wisconsin July 7, 1932. At the time of his death he was 52 years, 1 months and 8 days old. He lived in Holway until 1927 when he moved to Abbotsford, where he has since resided.
In April 1918 he enlisted in the 47th Company of the 20th Engineer Corps and went to France. He was discharged in July 1919.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth and step-son James. Also by four sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Folmer of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Daisy Marcott, Mrs. A. Davis and Miss Marion Gwin all of Holway.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the home in Abbotsford and the Congregational church in Curtiss Rev. Powell of Owen, officiating. The American Legion Post of Abbotsford acted as a military escort. Interment was made in Pine Hill cemetery at Curtiss.
