Frome, Lennice E. (Marriage - 20 Jan. 1951)

Lennice E. Frome, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin L. Frome, and Donald R. Barr, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Barr, were united in marriage Saturday, Jan. 20th, at 3:30 P.M., at Zion Lutheran church at Colby, Wis., Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Donald Schulz, accompanied by Patricia Reeves on the organ, sang the Lord’s Prayer. Mrs. Gordon Mellenthin was matron of honor and Mrs. Melbert Singstock and Miss Audrey Krueger were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Gordon Mellenthin, William Frome and Howard Barr. Ushers were Melbert Singstock and Morris Thompson. The bride was given away by her father.

The bride was attired in an entrained satin gown designed with sweetheart neckline edged with braid and rhinestones with fitted bodice. The front skirt was a draped-over skirt edged with braid and rhinestones. Her fingertip veil of French illusion, edged with lace, was caught to a band of ruffled lace and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet consisting of orchids on a white Bible with small flowers attached to white streamers. Her attendants wore satin dresses in gold, orchid, and green, respectively, fashioned with net yoke, fitted bodice, full skirt with rows of lace, matching gauntlets and head pieces made of carnations. Their heart-shaped bouquets consisted of carnations. The bride’s mother wore a navy dress with navy accessories and her corsage consisted of carnations. The groom’s mother wore a green dress and her corsage also consisted of carnations.

A six o’clock dinner was served in the church parlors and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in the evening.

The couple will be at home in Colby, Wis. The groom is employed as lineman for the A. A. Electric Co.
