Rockow, Alice (Marriage - 16 June 1951)
Miss Alice Rockow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rockow of Abbotsford, and Donald Elstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Elstrom of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage in the Evangelical Lutheran church in Abbotsford, Wisconsin Saturday afternoon, June 16, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating. Mrs. Arnold Daelenbach of Omro, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Glen Elstrom of Chicago, the groom’s brother, served as best man.
The bride was attired in a white organdy ballerina gown with a Peter Pan collar and was accented with a shoulder corsage of pink roses and white swansonia. A white lace Dutch cap completed her ensemble. The matron of honor wore a white marquisette frock with green accessories and a corsage of pink roses and white swansonia. The bride’s mother wore a blue and tan print dress and the groom’s mother wore a black crepe dress. Both had corsages of red carnations and white daisies.
A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents in the afternoon and evening for immediate relatives. Out of town guests were present from Chicago, Highland Park and Highwood, Ill., Milwaukee and Omro.
Following a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, North Dakota and Minnesota, the young couple will reside at Highland Park, Ill., where both had been residing.
