Mueller, Vera (Marriage - 17 Oct. 1951)

Miss Vera Mueller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mueller of Abbotsford, and Fred Blanke, Sr., of Athens, route 2, were united in marriage Wednesday, Oct. 17th, at 2:30 o’clock at Christ Lutheran church at Abbotsford, Wisconsin, Rev. Sprengler reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Beverly Cendt was maid of honor and the groom was attended by Harold Goelden.

The bride was attired in a full length white satin dress with a long train featuring a net yoke with a tight fitting bodice trimmed with lace. Her fingertip veil was held in place by a crown of pearls. Her bouquet consisted of white orchids and pink roses. Miss Cendt wore a dress of yellow celanese rayon sheer over satin with a net yoke trimmed with lace. Her bouquet consisted of white orchids with yellow and white mums. The flower girls, Barbara and Joyce Barker, cousins of the bride, wore long, white taffeta dresses with ruffled yoke and scalloped skirts trimmed with yellow bows. They carried white and yellow mums. The mother of the bride wore a gray suit with black accessories. The groom’s mother wore a brown and white pin striped dress with green accessories. Both wore a corsage of white and yellow mums. The grand mother of the bride wore a navy blue suit with black accessories with a corsage of white mums.

Supper was served 65 guests at the church parlors.

After a wedding trip to southern and eastern states, the couple will be at home after October 25th on a farm eight miles east of Abbotsford, Wis.

Guests were from Dousman, Oakfield, Mayville, Park Falls, Wausau, Fond du Lac, Stratford, Withee, Owen, Loyal, Athens, Abbotsford, Wis.
