Johnson, Charles O. (29 JAN 1862 - 18 NOV 1943)
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) for Charles Otto Johnson, whose death occurred at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Thursday noon of last week, the Rev. C.S. Matthews officiating, and burial took place in Riverside Cemetery. He was 81 years 9 months and 19 days of age.
Mr. Johnson was born Ja. 29, 1862 in Ostergotland, Sweden, and came to this country in 1883. On May 8th, 1901 he was united in marriage at Chicago to Miss Emma Svenson, who preceded him in death nearly four years ago.
To this marriage two children were born, Robert of Owen, and Katherine, Mrs. Leslie Warner, of Minneapolis. From Chicago they went to a farm in Illinois, where they resided until 1909, when they bought a farm south of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), which has been his home up until the time of his death.
