DORCHESTER -- Herman Messmann Jr., 67, of Dorchester, died May 18, 2007, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester, Wis. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Maurina Funeral Home in Dorchester is assisting with arrangements.

He was born March 10, 1940, in Medford to Herman Sr. and Ella (Baumann). He married Susan Winchell in 1968, was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Messmann, Dorchester; two sons: Michael Messmann, Medford and Craig Messmann, Dorchester; two daughters: Amy (Chuck) Weiler, Dorchester and Tina (Jason) Miller, Dorchester; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a brother, Gary (Jan) Messmann, Medford; three sisters: Betty (John) Vircks, Greenfield, Joyce (Bill) Raasch, Dorchester and Marlene (Marlin) Vircks, Stetsonville and a sister-in-law: Ruth Messmann, Dorchester, Wis.
