Curtiss, Wis. - Apr. 12, 1951 The Ladies’ Aid of the Evangelical Lutheran church will meet at the parish hall on Thursday afternoon, April 19. Hostesses will be Mrs. Grace Nicks and Mrs. Clarence Geary. The Curtiss Homemakers Club will meet at the village hall Wednesday evening, Apr. 18. There will be no regular lesson. Election of officers will be held. A health talk will be given by Mrs. Fritz Laabs and a synopsis on "Landscaping," given at a Withee meeting, by Mrs, Arthur Laabs. Refreshments will be served by Mrs. O. K. Odland and Mrs. A. Schraufnagel. A sum of $63.50 was netted at the Red Cross drive just finished by Mrs. A. J. Hennlich, chairman, and Mrs. Lee Smiley, co-worker. The quota for the village was $55.00. Miss Kathryn Peterson of Park Falls spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Anna Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lokken of Minneapolis spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lokken, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke.
