Unity, Wis. - June 21, 1951
Susan Marie Hein of Stratford, Wisconsin spent the past week with her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Atcherson, while her parents were fishing at Bearskin Lake.
William Creed and Nyole Creed made a trip to Green Bay to get Charles Creed, who stays at the I.O.O.F. home there. Mrs. William Creed accompanied them as far as Wausau where she visited a few days at the George Stauner home. Charles visited his brother, Bill, and friends in Unity before returning to Green Bay.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Kilty at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital June 14.
Mrs. Minnie Baumgart and grand daughter, Janice, spent several days at the former’s home here before returning to the Ted Baumgart home in Colby, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Winkler, Jr., of Laona spent several days at the Edward Winkler home here and with relatives in Spencer.
At a meeting of the Otto H. Kobs post No. 358 of the American Legion, the following officers were elected: Otto Atcherson, commander, Harold Yost and Ray Binning, first and second commanders respectively; R. W. Fuller, adjutant, Edward Mews, finance officer; Rudolph Pfab, service officer; Calvin Cook, chaplain; Gust Carlson, historian; Hebert Kanter, sergeant at arms; John Johnson, publicity officer, Forrest Johnson, athletic officer.
Mr. and Mrs. George S. Cook spent several days at Beaver Dam with the latter’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mellenthin.
