Local Happenings in Colby and Vicinity Dec. 27, 1951

Harold Baumgart returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Monday.

Donna Van Dreel, attending college at Eau Claire, is spending the holidays with her parents.

Miss Veda Lueloff of Chicago spent the fore part of the week with her mother, Mrs. Theo. Lueloff.

Billy Waldhart of Appleton spent the fore part of the week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Waldhart.

Miss Marjorie Nelsen of Chicago spent several days, including Christmas Day, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Nelsen.

Mr. and Mrs. Al Bauer of Medford and Mr. and Mrs. James Wilde were supper guests Christmas Day at the Pete Wilde home.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wiersig and son of Beaver Dam spent the week-end with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiersig.

David Loos and Allen Dins, attending University at Madison, are spending the holidays at their respective homes in Colby, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Wallace of Madison spent the fore part of the week with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holtzhausen.

John G. Elpert and sons of Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sossaman and Audrey were dinner guests at the John Anderson home Tuesday.

Arthur Lindner and son, Bob, left last week Thursday for Texas where they will visit for about a week with the former’s son and latter’s brother.

Reinhard Ulrich, a student at Mission House Seminary at Plymouth, Wis., is spending his Christmas vacation with his foster parents, Rev. and Mrs. Franz Paul Puhlmann.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nelsen of Madison spent several days, including Christmas Day, with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Nelsen and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baumgartner.

Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Sossaman of Milwaukee spent Christmas Day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sossaman of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. John Lindberg of Abbotsford, Wis.

Mrs. G. C. Lien of Janesville and Mr. and Mrs. George Schwantes of Spencer visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Tesmer and with Mrs. Anna Rienow.

Herbert Prange, Anna Prange, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Diedrich and son and Mr. and Mrs. James Wilde, Jr., were dinner guests at the Walter Fischer home Tuesday.

Ralph Wolk, Mrs. Elsie Mueller Wolk and John A. Sheets were received into the fellowship and membership of the First Evangelical and Reformed church last Sunday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sossaman and baby of Milwaukee spent several days, including Christmas Day, with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sossaman and Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson.

Among Colby service men home for the holidays are James Allar of Ft. Knox, Ky., Robert Ebert of Aberdeen Prov. Grs., My., Peter Anderson of Randolph Field, Texas, Douglas Sossaman of Ft. Jackson, S.C.
