Elected to Honor Society
Mrs. Emil (Mary) Fleischauer, Jr., is among the 70 University of Wisconsin students who have just been elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa, national honor society. Membership in Phi Beta Kappa is the highest scholastic honor attainable by students in letters and science courses of study. Election is strictly on the basis of academic achievement. Two Wisconsin faculty members elected to honorary membership this year are Dr. Ira Baldwin, vice president of academic affairs, and Dr. Andrew T. Weaver, professor of speech. All of the newly-elected members will be initiated into the society May 17 in a ceremony in the Memorial Union on the Wisconsin campus.
